A member of the Television Hall of Fame, Pardo was noted for his long association with NBC, working as the announcer for early incarnations of such notable shows .
known for Saturday Night Live (1975), Jeopardy!(1964) and Jackpot (1974). He was married to Catherine (Kay) Lyons.
Pardo died in his sleep on August 18, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona. He was 96 years old .
